Campaign report from Vienna on Turkish detachment defeat

Letters from Jally dated January 10 describe Marshal Romanzow’s detachment driving Turks from Ganzara to Keidar, where 10 Tartars attacked Salkuz and were defeated. Casualties reported: 390 Turks killed, 47 captured, four artillery pieces and six banners. Russians lost one ensign and four men, 24 wounded. General Kamenskoy led the detachments.

The Recency Bill Debate On Peerage Creation Powers

Regency bill presented in Lords and Hastings trial postponed

The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented the Regency bill for first reading in the Lords. Lord Sydney moved for printing and a second reading on Monday. Lord Walsingham urged postponing Hastings trial to after circuits, and the Lords discharged the trial orders and set Hastings’ trial for Monday April 6, with a message to the Commons. The House adjourned to Monday.
