The Bath Society of Agriculture Arts Manufactures and Commerce held its December 8 1789 annual meeting in which premiums were awarded for calf rearing ram lambs turnips flax and a washing machine among others. Long service awards were given in Somersetshire Wiltshire and Dorsetshire. new implements were presented including a patent drill plough and a cyber press. officers and committees were re elected. the next plough trial was planned for late April 1790 near Devizes. thanks were given to patrons and the secretary invited more agricultural notices for the society volume.
