Brimfield High junior clans stage The Mad Hatteras a three act play in the high school auditorium Friday night November 16 at eight oclock. Admission 35 cents for students and 60 cents for adults. The cast includes Gigi Mattermente Marriott Clark and Joe Hatter with a large supporting list of names behind them. Plan now to attend this riotous farce remembering the date Friday night November 16.
French Grove Mrs H and Oakes and Elizabeth were visitors Saturday. Mrs John Stark dined with Mr and Mrs W B Clark Wednesday. Mrs Verve Shaffer visiting Peoria at Mrs Everett Dama’s home. The Improvement Society meets Thursday at Mrs Loretta Mottaz’s. Mr and Mrs L A Heath of Toneel Hith moved to H L Oakes’s tenant house. Mr and Mrs Bear Jimkins of Douglas visited sister Mrs Ray Mottaz Friday evening.
Local residents hosted and visited relatives and friends over the weekend. Chicago football trip by Carl Fauth. Macomb and Peoria guests including Patricia Lassure Wintress Webster Dorothy Libby and others. Pinochle club gathered with coversation and several families noted as attendees.
Professor Malcolm P. McNair of Garrard School of Business Administration told a food chain retailers meeting that government, not big business, fuels inflation and consumer resentment toward distribution. He warned inflation shifts costs to consumers, while retailers publicly cut profits to curb price boosts.
Mrs Mary Conver died in Elmwood after a three year illness. Her husband Samuel I Conver preceded her in death. Survives include son Samevel B of Peoria two daughters Mrs Sarah Reen and Mrs Mary Orval Cunver of Elmwood, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a brother John Boland and a sister Mrs Margaret Rees of Peoria, another sister Mrs Kate Maher of Elmwood. Services set for Thursday at 9:30 at St Patrick's Church with Rev Daniel Sheehan officiating and burial in St Mary's Cemetery.
Laura Methodist Church W B S sponsors a luncheon dinner and bazaar in the Laura Church basement on Thursday November 30 starting at 1130 a m. Proceeds aid Christmas gifts for hard to buy for recipients with gift ideas featured.
Two films shown at the Methodist church Sunday evening at 7 30. One twenty minute story titled At Work With The Word shows Bible work today. The other a forty minute film portrays the church and local boys who throw rocks at a window. Both depict church attitudes toward children and community action. No charge. offerings to cover expenses welcomed. All welcome regardless of church membership. Program runs about ninety minutes.
The regular meeting will be at 2Ziat Sewny ota Ung at 1060 clock 1m with a pot luck luncheon and a business meeting at 3 o'clock. The change aligns with Thanksgiving Day observance.

Peoria County announces its annual Christmas Seal sale to fund tuberculosis control efforts. The drive funds surveys in schools and hospitals, x ray campaigns, education, and rehabilitation programs at municipal sanitariums, relying on community support and local officials gratitude.

Groom attended Brimfield Highland and Woodruff High School. employed by First National Bank and Hiram Watters.

Extension education by Agriculture and Home Economics leads the program with research and extension staff visiting regularly. Members are urged to visit and meet advisers as they promoteHome Bureau’s large network of Progressive Homemakers.
Mrs Lela Buttrick expresses gratitude to friends and neighbors for cards and kindness while hospitalized, thanking Jetters and others for support during this time.
Grade school teams opened the season at Alta Tuesday night. The lightweights won 34 to 6 led by Kingdon with 9 points. The heavyweights lost 29 to 15 with Lindser scoring 5 points. Next game set for Elmwood Tuesday at 7 00. Ireland Ireland is half the size of Arkansas and has fewer inhabitants than Chicago.
