A Chicago meeting of major farm groups and farm press signaled strong support for effective farm legislation to aid American farmers. Albert Hayes of Peoria County Farm Bureau noted broad participation by Illinois Agricultural Association and readers from national agricultural sectors. While principles were agreed, exact bill form remained undecided, with a fuller statement expected at the American Farm Bureau Federation meeting in Chicago in December.
Monica and Mrs Camp with Yale visited Williamsfield to see Mrs Camp's mother Mrs Mc Mahon. Hilda Conover and Roy Benelly from Peoria stayed with L D Conover. Roy Bane and Suse Bane were in Peoria for the Suoppers. Locals went to Peoria to see President and Mrs Hoover. Velma Powers and Ralph Hamilton of Peoria stayed with Mr and Mrs Ray Powers. Delwin Clark and George Edwards from Princeville visited Friday to Sunday with Mr and Mrs Eli Lorentz. Mrs Charles La Rue and Mrs George Sturm and daughter spent Saturday in Peoria. Mrs Clara Berry visited Dunlap Sunday with sister Mrs Bert Bateman. Roy and George Randall of Peoria stayed with their father Art Randall last week. Harry Berry and Earl Mitchell spent Saturday in Williamsfield.
The Chicago International Livestock Exposition runs November 26 to December 3 at the entrance to the Chicago Stock Yards. Railroads offer low round trip fares and weekend coach excursions. The opening day features the Junto Live Stock Feeding Contest for youths, with judging by Walter Biggar starting Monday. A fall entertainment program debuts Sunday November 28 with matinee and evening shows. 4-H youths will participate in the Monday horse show and there will be auctions of cattle and prime meat animals toward the expo’s close.

Edith Carter and Edith Carter visited Grove residents. several households hosted guests from Peoria and Galesburg. Missionary society met with plans for a local play and possible county contest. 12 of 15 members attended.
Election returns from Brimfield Township show Democrats leading after a day of rain and melting snow. The Democrats won all offices except Representative in Congress with 381 votes to Carr's 214. Jubilee Township and neighboring Millbrook Rosefield and Princeville Townships also elected the straight Democratic ticket.
Laura Stems visits Wyoming relatives as townsfolk attend a Sausa Royal Neighbor Camp dinner. Numerous local residents and visitors—Mr and Mrs James Kewpers, Miss Edna Hart, Miss Helen Largent, Mrs Ruth Barrett, Miss Opal Couch, Mr Joe Slygh, Mr Bert King, and others—enjoy games, contests, and musical numbers by Coe Brothers quartette.
The American Legion members and families plan a basket supper and social evening at their hall. Also noted is John Hedden being relieved as section foreman by A F P Mears in Yates City. Hedden will become section foreman at Yates City.

Every adult in a household is invited to join.
Union Church of Brimfield will host one of forty Fellowship Rallies in Illinois in cooperation with the Commission on Missions. George L. Cady, longtime secretary of the American Missionary Association, is the principal speaker. Sessions cover social questions and underprivileged groups. Cady’s background includes work across several states.
