Mr McCown a former Methodist church pastor died Sunday at the Methodist Old People’s Home in Quincy where he had been living since leaving Knox ville. He recently celebrated his 11th birthday and is survived by Dr Chester McCown of the University of Southern California faculty.

Mrs Alfred Carter and daughter Mrs Katherine Carter lived with daughter Mrs Cliff Gondy in Chillicothe area. Born Isaacs Speed and Eacher Speed, she married Alfred Carter in Gameston Iowa on December 5 1874. Survived by six daughters, two sons preceded in death. seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral planned in Humeston Iowa with burial at Green Bay cemetery.
