Fred J Foster born Elmwood July 25 1871 died Peoria May 1930. Oldest of six, son of W Foster and Addie Johnson, he grew up on a Brimfield farm. In 1918 he moved to Peoria and married Jude Campbell on April 6 1918. He joined the Peoria post office as a carrier, remained there until his death. Fatally injured May 9 1930 when his automobile was struck by a Rock Island train at Knoxville Avenue Geeetney. Funeral services May 11 1930 at Gauss Funeral Home with Rev. R H Clark. burial Woodlawn Champaign Illinois.

Congressman Clifford C. Ireland Dies in Chicago Club
Friends mourn the death of former Congressman Clifford C. Ireland found deceased in his room at the Chicago Athletic Club Saturday morning. Memorial services were held Tuesday at the Shrine Temple with Peoria Commandery No. 3 in charge and Dr. W. E. Shaw officiating. Burial followed in Washburn, Illinois, with Washburn Masonic lodge conducting graveside rites. He is survived by his wife and two children.
