Twenty seven Graduate From Eighth Grade

Twenty seven students graduated from the BrimGld Community consolidated district with diplomas in a high school gym ceremony. Three graduates from Kickapoo joined others including Barbara Arbogast Eugene Bayamangar and Lorene Courtright in presenting diplomas and a class song. The program featured processional invocation readings piano solos and a benediction by Rev Thomas C. Harrison.

Charles H Drysdale Fane Dies. Local Painter Remembered

Charles H Drysdale Fane a retired portrait painter died Wednesday morning at the Christian Memorial home after sixteen years there. Services were Friday at Cove and Wrebt Mortuary Peoria with Dreaff McLaughlin officiating. Burial followed in Sprainedale cemetery. He was born November 22 1869 in Marion Indiana son of James R and Grace Bewsher Drysdale resided in Brimfield for years. He leaves a brother Dawd Drysdale of Peoria and several nieces and nephews.

Federation delegates meeting Wednesday at the Farm Bureau Building Peoria elected officers for the seating year. Poppy Day Observance Aims To Honor War Dead

Poppy pins will be sold to honor fallen service members and support veterans in hospitals. The American Legion Auxiliary and partner groups plan poppy distribution on May 29, the Saturday before Memorial Day, to fund flowers and veterans’ care.
