The American Legion promotes red salt poppies for Memorial Day to honor World War I service. Widows and daughters of French fallen soldiers produce the poppies sold in the U S for ten cents each. Order from Olive Cady and attend the May 11 bake sale in Woodman hall at 2:30.
Miller Transportation Co files with the Public Utilities Commission of Illinois for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to operate as a public utility by motor vehicle between Brimfield Village and Peoria City and intermediate points. A copy of the application is available at Brimfield office. Interested parties may contact the PUC secretary in Springfield for hearing details.
