First Annual Cradle Roll Service and Pastors Night at Union Church
From The Churches Notes the Union Church Brimfield announces the First Annual Cradle Roll Service next Sunday May 4 at 11 o'clock with a sermon on Jeans and Little Children and an infant baptism opportunity. That evening Rev W Harvey Young will preach at 8 o'clock for Former Pastor's Night. Young people meet for a six o'clock supper and program hosting East Main Street Congregational Church of Galesburg. Shrubbery and bulbs are being planted around church grounds funded by members. A furnace and garage campaign is underway to complete budget needs with volunteer pledges to treasurer Dean Johnson or trustees.

Gerald J. Reinhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dawson, died in California where he was taken for treatment six weeks ago. His wife and father planned to visit him before moving him home. Funeral services were set for Saturday May 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church with the Rosary to be said Friday evening at 8 p.m.
