Stenger Belch Nuptials At St Marys Kickapoo

Anna Mae Stenger and Frank D Belch were married at St Marys Church Kickapoo in a June ceremony officiated by Rev Thomas Harrison. The bride wore white satin with pearl tiara and carried white roses. bridesmaids wore peach green and yellow gowns with matching veils. A reception followed at the bride’s home and a ten day eastern tour preceded the couple’s move to the bride’s father’s home.

The Brimfield post office is named a distribution point for United States burial flags for veterans. D Stanley Soper has been appointed superintendent of the Unit district schools. He comes from Alpha where he served as superintendent for two years and has sixteen years of teaching and administrative experience. He holds a Bachelor of Education from Western and a Master’s from Columba University.

Rural Youth Holds June Peoria County Meeting

The Peoria County Rural Youth met at the Silverleaf Pavilion on Monday the 14th with group discussions on Know Your Rural Youth recreation relays mixer dances and square dancing. A skating party is set for Fernwood June 24 from 3 30 p m to 11 30 p m. Glen Quinn will attend the Soil Conservation camp at the University of Illinois. Russ Kerth and Gback Goos chosen for the State Rural Youth Training camp with Don Huest as alternate. Membership open to rural youths ages 17 to 30 and new members welcome at monthly meetings. The annual Rural Youth picnic will be at Detweiler Park July 25 at 1 30 p m. Reporter Virginia Allen.
