The Laura Merry Makera 4-H club met Wednesday at Delia Wycoff's with county adviser Mrs. Scofieldt in attendance. Madelyn Barret reported on the Federation meeting in Peoria June 10. Virginia Jones and Jean Campbell elected delegates for Federation meetings. The program for June 23 church supper was discussed. June 25 meeting planned at Delia Wycoff's with refreshments by Delia and Gloria McDonnell.

Longtime Elmore resident James McCauley obituary

James P L McCautey born March 27 1851 in West Jefferson Ohio died June 7 1939 at niece Elizabeth Winchester's home in Illinois. He came to Bilmore in 1868 taught school later ran a general store in Elmore and Laura served as postmaster and assessor for Millbrook township. Married Emma Bennett in 1886 who died earlier. Survived by sisters Emma Roberts and Mira Cora Dick plus several nieces and nephews. Three sisters and one brother preceded him. A Methodist for 30 years and charter member of Rimwood Masonic Lodge awarded a fifty year medal two years ago. Funeral 11:00 Saturday from the Elmore home Rev A C A Lee West Jersey officiating. Burial in Glendale cemetery at Bimore with Masonic lodge members as pallbearers.
