J A Hayes county superintendent announces daily office hours 8 00 am to 5 00 pm six days a week open Saturdays September 11 to June 1 and September 1 to 30. Regular teacher certificate examinations will be held at the courthouse on the third Friday and Saturday of October January April and July starting 8 08 am. The exam program lists Friday morning arithmetic and American history. Friday afternoon grammar reading penmanship and civics. Saturday afternoon geography pedagogy and orthography. Saturday afternoon further subjects for First grade certificates include botany zoology and physics. Illinois state normal school grades will count as exam credits.
