First Hast Corps Mobilized in Dublin for South Africa
The Irish Hunt Corps formed part of the Imperial Yeomanry and mobilized in Dublin on January 13 1900. It sailed March 13 to South Africa and joined the Thirteen Battalion of the Imperial Yeomanry at the cape, where thirteen men were killed in their first encounter with the Boers and the rest surrendered.
