Eighth Graders Receive Diplomas At Commencement

Eighth graders earned diplomas at a district ceremony held in the high school gym on Wednesday evening. Principal Earl Pincher gave the address. Brimfield Club Plans WWII Memorial Plaque Dedication

The B Club announces a memorial plaque for Brimfield high school WWII honorees. A public dedication is set at the school gym Sunday evening June 15 at 8 30. Four alumni named are Phillip Krummel George Edwards William Shaffer and Rollana Gatton.

Brimfield High Club Forms to Honor WWII Lettermen

Coach J R Braamer inspired Brimfield High to form a memorial letters club. The group includes B H and lettermen with a goal to raise funds for a plaque in the school gym to honor those who died in World War II. Acting secretary Joseph R Blundy invites overlooked lettermen to contact.

Funeral Services Today for George A La Follette

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at Guior Church at two o'clock for George A La Follette longtime resident. He died Tuesday morning at home after a long illness and is survived by his wife three children Mrs Gladva Slocum and Melva La Follette of Elmwood four grandchildren a brother Willis La Follette and a sister Mrs J D Nichols of Peoria.

Engagement announced for Donna Kornmeyer and E Dean Poling

Mr and Mrs E B Kornmeyer of Farmington announce the approaching marriage of their daughter Donna Jeao Kornmeyer to E Dean Poling son of Mr and Mrs E L Poling of Farmington. The wedding is planned for Sunday June 22. Donna attended Farmington Community High School and worked at Black and Decker Kuhl Co in Peoria. Dean Poling, also a Farmington High graduate, served three years in the U S Navy. He has been at Bradley University this past year and plans to enter Illinois Wesleyan University to study for the ministry next year.
