Cantata practice and county event announced
The Cantata group will rehearse Friday June 5 at 7 30 p m in the Farm Bureau Building. A county Cantata will be presented Friday July 10 at the Christian Church Peoria opposite the Farm Bureau Building. The Peoria County Home Bureau Annual Meeting is planned for Thursday June 18 at the W C A Peoria with a noon luncheon. All are invited. Memorial Day Observance Honors Civil War Veteran
Memorial Day program honored surviving Civil War veteran P. Bower who occupied a place of honor. Father Harrison gave the address as announced. A school band led the cemetery march and services were held for the fallen soldiers. Graves were decorated by schoolchildren with a committee from the W R C and American Legion directing.
