Miles Maude Shane closed the Bramble school term last Saturday with a basket picnic. Sixty five people attended. Ice cream and cake were served. Three pupils Ray Wilson Clyde Wilson and Elisabeth Kehl kept perfect attendance for the nine months. This marks Miss Shane's third year as teacher of the district.
A reader from Raymondville Missouri states that a certain medicine is excellent for whooping cough in children. The letter cites restlessness fever and throat throat symptoms as early signs and claims strong results from the remedy.
J A Hayes County Superintendent announces regular examinations for teacher certificates at Peoria County Court House. Exams occur the third Friday and Saturday of October through April with a detailed schedule by subject. First grade candidates may add Botany Zoology and Physics Saturday. Grades from State Normal School may substitute. Applications on 4th floor Room 42.
