Wreck Victims From Brimfield Ride Share Honeymoon
A Burlington wreck near Indianola Nebraska claimed the life of Mrs Culbertson and left Harry Culbertson in critical condition. The couple, recently married May 20, had been traveling for their honeymoon when the head end collision occurred. Other relatives rush to the scene as funeral plans begin in Brimfield with services set for Friday.

Sheriff A T Lucas Dies Suddenly in Topeka Home
Albertus T Lucas, sheriff of Shawnee county for four years, died suddenly at his home 1191 Fillmore Street after a long illness. He suffered from diabetes complicated by pneumonia and was 44. Born in Brimfield, Illinois, he moved to Topeka as a child and rose to prominence in local politics and crime detection, including capturing the Kansas City mail pouch robber. He was noted as a top lawman with a large following and continued to be active in crime investigation after retirement.
