A severe storm caused wind and hail damage across the west township. In Shissler seed corn fields hail stripped stalks while detasseling boys suffered bruises. Trees fell on cars, damaging several vehicles as dark clouds moved north to south.
Hayes to Pass County School Superintendency to Downing
On Monday August 2 J A Hayes retires after thirty three years as county superintendent of schools and transfers the office to B E Downing elected last November.
