Grover Cleveland Harris born April 26 1885 in Brimfield Illinois died in July 1911 at Fore Bayard New Mexico aged 26 years 9 days He left four brothers and two sisters and enlisted nine years ago in the United States Army He served in Company H 6 80th Infantry and fell ill with tuberculosis after being moved to Bayard New Mexico His body was brought to Brimfield for burial with funeral at the M B Church conducted by Rev E J Sellord He is interred in Brimfield Cemetery His brother Joe stayed with him in his final weeks and aided his comfort

Remains of John Gilbert Laid to Rest in Brimfield Cemetery
The body of John Gilbert, a longtime Brimfield resident, was brought from Chicago and buried last Friday evening in Brimfield Cemetery. He died after being overcome by heat while at work during the Chicago heat wave. Mourners from Chicago, including Mr and Mrs W F Murphey and Mr and Mrs E G Campbell, attended the burial.
