County Tax Delinquent Drive Planned by Board Committee
The tax committee of the county board plans a drive to collect delinquent real and personal property taxes. A study of procedures in DuPage and Kane counties is cited. West Coast Transfer for Sgt Bayes Aboard Colo Hospital
Word reaches that 8 Sgt Max Bayes has arrived on the west coast and will be stationed at a Colorado hospital. Hawaii based Captain Sterling Moak, former Brimfield High coach, was the first local contact during Max's 32 months in service. Anthony Stenger, 8, son of Charles Stenger of Kickapoo, suffered a severe accident when caught in a tractor’s power take off. His clothes tore away and he was injured internally. he was rushed to St Frances hospital and is “doing nicely” at present.
