Mentions Baywares Grocery selling B and Q Queen of the Pantry Minnesota Gold Pride of Peoria and Sleepy Bye flour and a newly completed depot. Also notes Dr Knapp moved for a new home and salmon cans at Memler Bros. A 1908 entry lists corn 49 nuts 46 wheat 92 butter 18 eggs 20 hogs 425 and a home sale on Clinton Street to Mr and Mrs J B Porter. A 1918 entry records corn 30 150 oats 77 wheat 267 butter 40 eggs 50 Bar 1600 and mentions a basketball tournament with teams from Brimfield and Kimwood among others and lists several local names. A 1938 line shows corn 49 eggs 28 hogs 890 and beans 84.

Obituary of Mrs. Mellie Rebecca Hibbs Hartford of Sipe Springs
Mellie Rebecca Hibbs Hartford died January 17 in Sipe Springs Texas after a weeklong illness from a severe stroke. Born September 3 1876 in Brimfield she married William S Hartford in 1904 and had four children. A devout Methodist and active church worker she had lived in Texas since 1914 and was survived by her husband a son and a daughter, two grandchildren, two sisters and a brother. Funeral service held January 18 at Live Springsa Baptist Church with Rev A C Cassell officiating. Interment in Live Springs cemetery conducted by Porter Franks.

Funeral services for Mrs Charles Clinch of Elmwood were conducted Monday afternoon at Clark Memorial Home with Rev. Lewin Palmer of the Methodist church officiating. She died Saturday morning after a short illness aged 58. Born in Peoria County on October 3, 1887, she married Charles Clinch on February 20, 19. She leaves her husband, two children Walter E Clinch of Baker California and Mrs Robert W Duffe of St. Leura, and four grandchildren. A sister Mrs W E Royse of St. Joseph Missouri also survives.
