The Woodmen will dedicate their new hall on March 8 with a large program and supper. Spencer's Orchestra from Peoria and the M. W. A. Silver Cornet band will provide music for the full day's program and the grand ball.
Frank Appleby and daughters Margaret and Edmund Lottman visited Brimfield relatives after traveling from Peoria. Albert Nordwall moves to a farm near Chillicothe. L Be White family relocates to Jubilee township replacing their former home. White residence near Farmer's Elevator, now occupied by Mr and Mrs John Hasselbacher. Sohe will be employed by Kenneth Braminlton this season.
Brimfield Firemen sponsor a home talent minstrel to be presented in the high school gymnasium on March 17. Firemen members seeking to help should see Father Dartison Rudolph Savage or Keith Geil.
Mr and Mrs Robert Black thank Brimfield Fire Co neighbors and friends who aided during the blaze that destroyed their home last week in a local community doubtless heartfelt message of gratitude from the affected family.

The county Red Cross chapter launches a ten day drive on March 1 to raise a 124500 fund. Led by Florence Welch, the effort coordinates Brimfield Jubilee Kickapoo and rural townships with credit given to Brimfield residents. Friday through weekend social activity across French Grove and nearby towns includes Bertha Carter and friends fighting at a Mary Lou Kingdon incident, Anna Cages from Bloomington visiting homefolks, Lucille Peve aiding Carl Peve move near West Jersey, and Reb Ab Kellogg of Chicago visiting for two days. Several moves and visits populate the week, including Carter family relocations to Oak Hill and a Red Cross dinner at the Jefferson in Peoria. A postponed annual Improvement Society meeting is rescheduled to March 4, with furloughs and reunions noted among Shaffer, Shaffer family, and others in Oak Hill and Edel atein areas.
Funeral services for Harry E. Chichester, 78, lifelong Brimfield resident and livestock dealer, were conducted at his family residence by Rev. A. C. A. Lee. Burial followed in Brimfield cemetery with casket bearers named. He died Sunday at St. Francis hospital after a three week confinement. He owned the old Brimfield opera house and helped bring motion pictures to the area. He left a wife Clemmie Tucker Chichester, a daughter Niel Beardaley of Chicago, a son H. S. Chichester of Peoria, and brothers George A. of Long Head and Frederick of San Diego.
A note from Mrs E B Chichester and family thanks relatives friends and neighbors for sympathy and help during a great bereavement. Dean Shane one of the Elmer Shane twins left for navy training after being inducted along with Harry Nordwall and Donald Lindsey from a recent class.
Brimfield started their district run with a 52 to 26 home victory over Victoria. The team had 15 wins on the season and holds a strong record as they prepare to face Oneida, a top contender, in tonight’s pivotal game for the Galesburg regional berth.
The Altar and Rosay Society of St. Joseph church sponsors a party Thursday evening February 25 in Cecil's store room. Admission 28 cents for 16 games with prizes for attendees. Come and have a good time.
Corporal Virgil D Collins recently graduated from the Seacoast Special Equipment Course at the Coast Artillery School. He received his certificate from Brigadier General Lawrence B Weens, commandant, after taking an initiative based training path for non commissioned officer advancement. Collins, a local high school alum, had previously worked at the ABC Washing Machine Factory before joining the army.
A Brimfield township inquiry questions how much gravel bond money has affected regular road maintenance. It asks if a $50 000 bond was used and if the contract was set at about three fifths of that amount. It notes $10 000 at 2 percent for 10 years costs $2500 in interest while the regular levy costs no interest.
The Brimfield township Republican caucus will be held on February 27, 1943 at 2:30 pm in Will Hall.
The Brimfield Ishkaotsa caucus of the Democratic party in Peoria County Illinois will meet February 27 at 7:45 p m in the village hall to nominate candidates for Supervisor Road Commissioner Justice of the Peace and Constable Dated February 18 1943 M R Clark Democratic Precinct Committeeman
Jubilee Township announces a caucus by the Jubilee Democrats on Monday March 1 at 3 o clock in the Jubilee town hall. The meeting will decide party matters and nominate local representatives. Residents are urged to attend.
Mr and Mrs Marton Comingore Ruth Jean and Don Gomingore from Monmouth spent Saturday with relatives in Brimfield.
The Republicans of Jubilee township will hold a caucus in Jubilee town hall Monday March 1 at 2 p.m. The Republican Committee calls for attendance and participation in the local party process.
