Home Advisor Resigns Position in Deera County
Mise Phyllis V. White has resigned as home adviser of Deera County Home Bureau effective May 1 after serving since January 1, 1945. She will move from Peoria to Dallas Center to care for her father. White previously advised in Paris New Mexico and led a Peoria County organization that doubled membership to 990 with six new units and expanded girls 4-H club work. Her offices are in the Federal Building.

Mrs Mary K Hiermeier dies at Peoria hospital
Mrs Mary K Hiermeier died Monday night at St Francis hospital after a fall at home on Saturday. She lived at 809 St James St with her daughter and son in law, and leaves husband Dr Miermeier, a daughter Mrs Raymond Warrick, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving siblings and relatives in Peoria, Bradford, and Burlington are listed. three sisters and two brothers preceded her. Funeral services set for St Mark's church in Peoria with the Rev James Fitzgerald officiating. Born May 17, 1877 in Brimfield, she married William J. Miermeier in 1908. continuous family ties noted since 1833 in Peoria.
