Owners warned to keep dogs at location. Dogs found roaming day or night will be picked up by city authorities under the mayor W F Harding.
A Valentine Dance will be held Webuary 10 from 8:00 to 11:00 pm with Cady's Orchestra providing music. Refreshments will be served. Tickets cost 75c singles and 125c couple in advance, 75c and 150c at the door. A King and Queen will be chosen from each class as candidates for the event king and queen.
Bradford will host the 16th district American Legion convention bringing together units from Stark, Fassett, Peertee, Matalin and Potoneope. The two day program includes initiation, speeches by national figures, a dance, a Sunday church service and a parade through Bradford with 7 000 to 10 600 attendees expected.

Mrs W B Clark and Mr Ritchie attended a gathering with the Clarks. Mr and Mrs John Shaffer hosted friends at their Mire Verne Shaffer residence. A Grove Improvement Society meeting date change was noted and Mrs Anna Learned assisted. A prep crew planned the program booklets.
Theodapa avenged earlier losses by defeating Glasford Tigers 59-39 after a tight first half 29-21. N Gecu and C Exena sparked Brimfield while Glasford’s J Ueosh led with 10 points. Glasford had a 38-36 preliminary win in the doubleheader.
Beginning Ash Wednesday February 45 Brimfield Home Bureau hosts Wednesday 1:30 pm Lent services at the St Pan’s Lutheran Church. Pastor E Co will base meditations on Jesus words Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Special choir and instruments to accompany the season. Public invited to attend any or all services.
School news notes that Jess Boene Ames Ito plays Thursday with Elmwood here and Brimfield hosts the Indians next Tuesday. The season concludes with the Brimfield senior girls Paylis Porter and Larry Dungan winning the 1956 Good Citizenship Award and roles in yearbook staff and activities.
The annual campaign for Boy Scouts funds runs this week led by R. Ma. Taeox as Chairman with Jan Harding as re-elector chairman Frank Glark as prospect chairman and Gluff Hasselbache as local scout leader. Local PTA supports three scout groups, with James Williams as Scoutmaster and Dave Grimm as cabmaster. Den Mothers Neima Clark Roth Sath Helen Ham back Mira Grimm assist, while Ralph Carer heads the executive committee and Frank Clark treasurer.
A Woltz Studio project this week seeks correct names for numerous pictures. Organizers urge readers to meow if any credits are missing or incorrect.
The American Legion Auxiliary announces an essay contest with the topic My Privileges as an American. Entries must be 608 words or less. A $3 prize will be awarded for the best essay in each division. Mrs Hennetia Bragg chairs the Hammetelo unit. The auxiliary meets February 23 for a sewing day and regular meeting with a pot luck supper at 7 PM.
Mr Starr Injured In Car Accident Wm P Star Gasmer of the Exchange Stace Bank was involved in a spectacular accident near Keavzvlle while en route from his home in Galesburg to Brimfield. The car crash mangled the vehicle with minor injuries reported. two students were noted as participants in a separate incident.
