Brimfield coach Schneider leads the team to a county tournament start at Elmwood with a 38 to 1% victory over Trivoli. Fans flood the stands with strong loyalty and upbeat energy as local support backs the Brimfield squad.
The church outlines 9 45 a m Sunday schedule including worship at 11 a m and a Young People's Association at 7 p m. It invites men to join the younger men’s class, notes efforts to equal women’s class attendance, and previews next Sunday topics on public versus secret diplomacy, the Disarmament Conference, Moses and Lincoln, and a 20th anniversary remark for the Boy Scouts of America with two scouts speaking. Last Tuesday John Cluskey learned of the sudden death of Davis E Bristol at his northeast Dunlap home where he lived with his sister until her death. He was found at the gate after falling while walking to mail a letter for Mr Stuck who was hauling wood. He planned an to Peoria the next day and to move to live there around March first. Funeral services were held in Princeville with burial in Mt Hawley cemetery.
In Memoriam for Margaret King wife and mother who died three years ago on January 29 1927. The verse expresses enduring love and sorrow from E M King and their children and recalls her patience faithfulness and kindness in a formal memorial notice.
Methodist Episcopal Church announces morning worship at 9 30 a m with church school at 10 30 a m led by Robert Tucker superintendent Epworth League gathers at 6 30 pm led by the youth group officer.
Lutheran Church announces Sunday School at 10 a.m and regular service at 10:30 a.m with text from Matthew. The sermon, A Mother's Influence, discusses Rehoboam and Naamah the Ammonitess and the lasting effect of a mother's guidance on a youth. Henry Traub, Pastor.
