Ernest Jones, Galva resident, dies in Kewanee hospital
Ernest Jones, longtime Galva resident and member of Brimfield’s pioneer Jones family, died Tuesday morning at Kewanee Public hospital after admission Sunday evening. Born April 3, 1881 in Galva, he lived all his life with sister Rosebud. A talented clarinetist, he played with several musical groups. Surviving are his sister, nieces and nephews. parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Burial is at Galva cemetery after funeral at the Johnson and Gil Chapel in Galva.

Walter Ray Goudy age 64 longtime Brimfield resident died suddenly Monday evening while working at his filling station. Born January 7 1890 he was a World War I veteran and charter member of Post 45 American Legion. Funeral services were held at Taylor Funeral Home with military graveside rites in Brimfield cemetery. Survivors include brother Clifford and sister Mrs Jennie Gibbs of Clio Iowa. Pallbearers listed.
