Brimfield H S Wins Dunlap Invitation Tournament

Brimfield high added a trophy by winning the Dunlap invitation tournament after a tough schedule. They defeated Dunlap 18 to 13 in the championship game on Saturday night, marking Dunlap’s first loss in 14 starts this season and signaling a strong community-supported effort toward the district tournament.

L. C. Pulsipher Buried Wednesday

Funeral services for Leslie O. Pulsipher were held at Johnson Funeral Parlor with Rev. David Todd officiating. Interment followed in Brimfield cemetery. Survived by son Ross and several nieces. lifelong farmer and church member remembered for keen mind and civic involvement. A state conservation note about seeded crops accompanies the obituary.

Free Physical Examinations at Brimfield High School

Brimfield Township High School will offer a free physical examination for all students on Wednesday February 10. Conducted with County pursece aid and local doctors, the check includes heart and blood pressure, lung examination, and a Tuberculin test. Examinations will be private to individual students.

The Junior class recently purchased a Keystone 16 mm moving picture device for school use, marking a new enhancement in student activities and classroom projects.

Donations Back Donlap Game Victory For New Suits

After the Saturday win over the undefeated Donlap squad two loyal basketball fans donated toward new suits. Carl Luthy and Leslie Hayes gave 2500 and 100v respectively, and the donors requested public recognition though the school is not soliciting funds at this time.

Legion Oyster Supper Set for February 4 at Legion Hall

All Legion Post 452 members and families are asked to attend an oyster supper at the Legion room at 6 30 p m on Thursday February 4. Members not present will be fined 50 cents. By order of W F Harding Commander J Donald Best Adjutant.

County Legion Meets Here Soen County Legion Meets Here Soen

The next Peoria County Council of the American Legion meeting will be held here on Wednesday evening February 17 at 8 15. Schmisser a former German World War soldier will speak and local performers will provide music and acts. At least 150 are expected to attend despite weather. Princeville hosted 89 at the January meeting.
