Brimfield Engineer Returns Home for Recuperation
Jack Sheets a civil engineer from the state highway department based in Brimfield on Route 91 has left work and returned to Kansas to recuperate. He made many friends in Brimfield and will be wished a speedy recovery. He lodged at BR. R. Johnson’s home during his stay. The A B Herriott and N S Overen condemnation suits were called Monday before Judge Daily in Peoria. Overen settled before trial for the committee’s fixed amount. Herriott’s case began and is now in its third day with a jury and sheriff oversight of the site. About forty witnesses travel daily to the county seat as proceedings continue.
