Brimfield and Princeville meet on New Year’s Eve in a basketball game featuring four high school stars of the past year plus a veteran player. Brimfield’s lineup includes Ed Brage Shane Buck Mehan Tom Plumer Ky Plumer Kelley and Peck Clark. Princeville lists Smith and Young who made last year’s all star team. Curtain raiser by younger players starts at 7:30 p m with admission 20 and 35 cents.

George Fail born July 26 1858 in Kin Tazewell County Illinois died near Oak Hill December 24 1925 aged 67 years 4 months 29 days He was one of nine children with two living brothers John of Muscatine Iowa and Charles of Oak Hill Married September 29 1893 to Alfreta Hamilton of Oak Hill they had seven children Survived by three daughters Maggie Smith Maratha Stewart Mildred and two sons George and Charles Funeral service held Saturday at 0 o clock at Ralph Schueger in Brimberd conducted by Rev W Harvey Young

Methodist Church Brimfield News and Christmas Thanks
The Brimfield Methodist Church invites all, with Sunday School at 10, public service at 11, and evening services. Christmas exercises were well attended. The Ladies Aid Society meets January 7 at 2 pm at Mrs. Charles Travis’s home. Program leaders are Mrs. Herriott and Mrs. Zern. Church thanks the community for support and vows to continue good works in the Divine Master’s name.
