Edward J. Rinehart died suddenly at the Royal Theatre in Peoria on July 30 1913 after watching moving pictures. He was 30 born June 17 1883 on a Brimfield farm, survived by wife Alice Maher and four children, plus parents and siblings. Funeral held August 2 at St Josephs Catholic Church with services by Rev Mainville. burial at Calvary cemetery.

An ordinance for the levy and assessment of taxes for the current fiscal year beginning April 1913. The Village of Brimfield Illinois levies 2800 dollars to cover salaries, street work, electric light service, and other corporate expenses. It directs the village clerk to file a certified copy with the Peoria county clerk. Passed and approved August 4 1913 by President B F Harper and Village Clerk HB Bowman.

Peoria judge seeks circuit judgeship in 1916 race
To the voters of the Tenth Judicial Circuit I have named myself probate judge of Peoria County to run for circuit judge. I have served as probate judge since December 6, 1910, with over ten thousand court orders and decisions on property rights affecting about nine million dollars in Peoria County. I ask voters to examine my qualifications and citizen standing and support me. Primaries September 18, election October 20.
County Superintendent Announces Peoria County Examinations
The County Superintendent announces daily office hours from 8 00 am to 5 00 pm and Saturday openings September 1 to June 1. Regular teacher certificates exams occur at the county house on the third Friday and the following Saturday in October January April and July starting 8 00 am. The exam schedule lists Arithmetic Grammar Geography Pedagogy Orthography and other subjects across Friday and Saturday sessions. First grade candidates may also take Botany Zoology and Physics on Saturday. Grades from Illinois State Normal School may substitute for county exams.
