Fire Sweeps Malo Block in Toulon Blaze Destroys Buildings
Daybreak last Thursday revealed a two story Malo Block blaze in Toulon destroying the lower J D Malick wholesale liquor store and upper armory rooms and injuring little saved property. Insurance totals 1,000 on the building and 2,500 on stock with extensive losses to harness stock and books. Firefighters failed to save the wooden structures and the fire spread east toward Sam's Bank and Odd Fellows Hall before being checked with no further salvage.
