Community notes list residents traveling to Perth Bunbury Collie and the coast for holidays and weekends. Several families and youths are mentioned as visiting relatives or celebrating birthdays while others returned home from college or holidays.
The English born Mr F W Lukis who migrated to New Zealand and later lived in Carnarvon died leaving widow Miss Campbell. He served Cleveland Bros in Carnarvon and was secretary of the Balingup Road Board and the Nannup Road Board for seven years. Survived by several children grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral was held on Friday with service at All Saints Church. Floral tributes noted. further history promised in next issue.
