Mr L Pittel kow plans a massive Australian sports complex at Leaning Tree Hill Bridgetown. The site spans 600 feet wide by 1125 feet long and includes a full size football ground 190 by 146 yards two smaller grounds 30 by 100 yards a trotting track just under a mile in circumference and ample summer space for cricket matches.
Road Board seeks survey completion on Winnijup road
Bridgetown Road Board will approach Main Roads Department to finish the Winnijup road project. A survey has already been completed and the MRD has spent £5000 on the road.

Farrington Named Secretary in Bridgetown Toc Meeting
Mr C P Farrington was chosen secretary of Bridgetown Toc at a meeting last week attended by about two dozen businessmen. Guests Keith Murray ex editor of Phoenix and Paul Jlutner spoke on Tor G1uffaira in Perth. A program committee was appointed for 3 months, meetings are held fortnightly at the Scout Hall with prayers supper and darts.

Good Values at Monday's Cattle Sale in Nannup
Goldsbrough Mort and Co reported satisfactory results at the Nannup cattle sale despite bad weather. Yarded 95 cattle, sold 82 with buyers from Dardanup, Boyanup, Bridgetown, and Nannup present. Prices ranged with 3 year old steers fat to £17 1p, good colour store to £15 1p, 2 year old steers to £13 18s, springing heifers to £ of, calves to £6 1s 6d.
