Rideau Canal Origins and Early Canadian Waterways

More than 2,000 people attended the dedication yesterday afternoon for St Michael's parochial school at Kossuth and Sterling streets. Bishop John J. Nilan of Hartford officiated, with a procession of 200 white-clad girls, 50 altar boys, and 12 priests. Clergy present included Rev. Nihil, Traynor, Smith, Komara, Blake, Figlewski, Kaplinski, Azasa, and Kordas. Benediction closed the ceremony. the school is a three-story building with 16 classrooms, built at a cost of $200,000.
