The play Blood and Sand plans rehearsals starting in November with its first presentation in New York in December. Anita Loos, writer and wife of John Emerson, is named in a Minneapolis annulment suit filed by Thelma Pallma against Frank Pallma Jr. The suit claims Pallma’s November 1918 marriage to Pallma preceded Loos’ divorce decree, which did not take effect until May 1919, rendering the marriage invalid.
