Hogan Likely to Be Club’s Choice for Mayor
Alderman William E. Hogan may be endorsed for mayor by the Sixth District Democratic association at a meeting Friday night following the organization meeting last night where William J. Meade was elected president. The club showed sentiment toward Hogan though no endorsement was made. An opposition primary fight is expected against district party forces. The new group named George Hulton vice president and Mary Shaughnessy treasurer with R A O’Brien chairing the activity committee. President Meade said the association formed to strengthen the Democratic party’s district efforts and provide fair play.
