Middletown Liquor Raids Arrest 14 Men and Women
In a continuing bid to curb liquor, Middletown police arrested 14 people on suspicion of violating the lower laws. All were bonded at 390 dollars for City Court tomorrow. State police warrants prompted the raids after evidence was gathered. eight more persons were reportedly detained last night and 20 additional locations were under scrutiny for further arrests.

Heirs Contest Large Will Local Woman a Beneficiary
SEW YORK September 11 five cousins of Austin Barclay Fletcher a corporation lawyer who left over 4 000 000 to Tufts College in Massachusetts today brought contest proceedings in the Surrogate's court to break the will. None of the five was named in the will except the four sisters in law Miss Tidlen Ada M and Catherine Follett and Mrs Elva Follett Warner of Bridgeport. The document directs the spread of his estate among his four married daughters and a $10 000 trust income for them. The college and Boston University are named as beneficiaries with nearly 200 000 to Mendon residents and 50 000 to Boston University. Contestants include Charles Warner Fletcher Ada Fladsdale and Mrs Grace Williams of Mendon. They allege undue influence and improper execution. Fowler and Tauber attorneys refused to name the contestants. Mrs Elva Follett Warner is noted as a Bridgeport society figure.
