Argument Over Players Share Delays World Series Start
Boston report says a possible delay of the world series opening tomorrow due to an ongoing dispute over players’ receipts between the Chicago National and Boston American clubs and the National commission. The players’ committee will seek a meeting at 3 30 o clock tomorrow morning to pursue a settlement and request the commission not to permit Tomorrow’s game until the issue is resolved. The players contend their share would be little more than the second and third place finishers in each league under the current plan.
