The Little Mower Sign and the Garden Flowers
A diary style piece describes a vivid yellow chrysanthemum and other blooming plants, then shifts to social plans as the writer shops for dresses at D.M. Tona and Read's. It notes Adelaide's evening attire, then moves to a studio visit with Mrs. Kamerling in the Liberty building for beauty club activities and hair demonstrations. The narrative winds through home heating worries, future Fairfield house features, and a navy day parade observed by a child and family, ending with town errands and daily chores.
