Milford October 23 Harold J Beard and James Patterson both of Washington street were burned in a gasoline explosion while refueling a tractor in a field. Fire from the motor reportedly sprayed flames over them sending a burst of fire into the air. Passersby used blankets to smother the blaze before rushing them to Milford hospital. Both men are severely burned but not in critical condition.
