Prohibition Is Permanent Says Howard Russell
Dr. Howard H. Russell of Ohio, founder of the Anti-Saloon League, told a United Church audience that prohibition will endure. He cited science and conscience as pillars and urged educational work and political organization to finish the unfinished business of the prohibition movement. The talk touched on the 18th amendment, medical findings, and civic action to support prohibition supporters in government. A separate note mentions a man spilled hot coffee at breakfast, causing palatal burns, treated at Emergency hospital.
