Spite work charge heard at city board of appeals
An arraignment before the City Board of Appeals dealt with a spite fight over a garage permit. John McCathron sought a three car garage, but the board limited it to two cars within ten feet of the property line, with a future permit possible for the business at its current location. Neighbors feared sanitation and safety issues, while Gold and Fitzsimmons pressed for a stricter stance. The board granted a temporary permit, contingent on further adjustments within a few months, amid protests from residents who feared the plant’s relocation.
