Truckers Vote Today on Pact To End Strike

AP reports two groups of trucking firms vote on a proposed settlement to end a nine week wildcat strike by independent steel drivers. Cop's Wife Dies At Wheel Of Car In Stepney

Mrs. Charles Rudolph 39 wife of New Town policeman Charles Rudolph died after a seizure while driving on Route 25 in Stepney near Capozzi's market. The car ran off the road, hit an embankment and fence post but no other vehicle was involved. She was pronounced dead at St Vincent's hospital after treatment by Dr Francis P A Williams.
