Connecticut’s state tax commissioner said less than a week remains to file the first period sales and use tax returns. About one eighth of the estimated forms have been received, with more than Ad,000 forms mailed. As of last week’s close only 6073 returns were in. Rescue Drama As Flying Boat Clears Newfoundland Coast
Coast Guard crews rescued more than 40 of 69 aboard a Boeing flying boat off Newfoundland after a forced landing in heavy seas. Capt. Cronk and Capt.
