Republican Caucuses Set Tickets for Behrens Nomination

Republican caucuses in six districts selected delegate tickets aligned with Mayor Behrens for renomination. Young Men's Republican Club claims all its district tickets and Kilpatrick says First and Ninth districts will be ready for advertising. Largest crowd attended in Eleventh district at St George's hall, with Braithwaite leading a ticket backed by local party figures. Fourth district chose Snifen Campbell Lyons ticket pledged to Behrens. Chew presided and McCormack sought machine renomination. Kilpatrick accused of attack on club house polling place. Chew defended use as a polling site for party workers.

Buckingham Award Revoked by Court in Compensation Case

In a Superior court ruling Judge Earnest C. Bimpeon revoked a compensation grant to Bennett C. Braatz of Stratford, remanding the case to Commissioner Edward T Buckingham. The appeal by D M Read company argued against a 89 weekly award for 156 weeks and a 30 percent disability rating after Braatz fell in a Read building shaft.

Child killed by blast near school in Morgantown area

Typist Swims English Channel Third Woman Completing Feat in Week

The third woman to swim the English channel this month, Ivy Chil of Sheffield, landed at Shakespeare beach at 12 20 a m. after starting from Cape Gris-Nez, France at 6 11 a m yesterday. She described the water as calm at first but the sea grew rough, and she was assisted ashore by her manager and trainer. She is a typist who trained in a mill pond and recently married.

Atwater Factory Sold for 25000 at Public Auction

Land and buildings of the Columbia Nut and Belt company on Railroad Avenue near Harvey Hubbell plant sold yesterday afternoon for 25000. Purchaser A G Leake said it was an investment.
