Bridgeport Hero Saves Six Children in Fairfield Fire

A Fairfield house fire destroyed the Eberhard home and damaged the adjacent property. Six children were carried to safety by a Bridgeport rescuer who noticed smoke and alerted firefighters. The blaze, blamed on questionable equipment, highlighted inadequate hydrant access and limited local fire protection. Estimated loss was about 6900 dollars with some coverage by insurance.

Coroner to Hold Inquiry on Norwalk Accident Today

Coroner Juhn ft. fhelue will hold an inquiry tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. into the death of Latham Burlett of Chestnut Hill Norwalk. He died in Norwalk hospital from a broken hip and fractured skull after a trolley car crash. Others at the scene aiding recovery included Richard Walkey of 158 Lauring Avenue, Pelham, N.Y., Sidney Bacon of 100 St Paul Street, Boston, and A. O Walker of Evie. Case Against Cahill Continued To Oct 23

New Haven October 13 a continuance until October 23 was planted in the case against Thomas Cahill Democratic candidate and three deputies charged with removing almost 200 names from the check list at the August primaries.
