Poli Denies Sale of Theatre Circuit

Poli denies rumors of selling the theatre chain. He told Telegram reporters last night at his Woodmont home that the reports are unfounded and part of years of rumor. Louis Sagal of Port Theatre Corp also denied any sale talks and said many interests have approached them over the years.

Girl plays near fence sustains elbow gash

Ten year old Laura Margolis of 703 East Main Street was pushed against a wire fence by two boys yesterday afternoon. She suffered a deep gash in her right elbow, bleeding briefly, and was taken to the Emergency Hospital where Dr John J Muveicik gave stitches and administered anti tetanus serum as a precaution. She was referred for follow up care.

Local man injured at Brockton fair

Samuel E Bowker, an employee of Coast Amusement Company and Ringling Brothers harness maker, was severely injured when a ferris wheel support fell at Brockton fairgrounds. He suffered a broken collar bone a broken right arm and several rib fractures. Treated at emergency hospital he was later moved to Brockton Hospital where his condition was serious. Bowker, a Budge Pot Conn resident, had no known relatives in Brockton and officials offered little information from Ringling Brothers winter quarters inquiries.

Motorcycle Hits Woman on Washington Avenue

Mre Brown aged sixty one of 121 High street was struck by a motorcycle owned and driven by Arthur Shannon of Route Weipopat at 716 oclock last evening at Washington avenue and High street. She was taken to the Emergency hospital with head and arm injuries for observation. Shannon said she was north of Washington avenue when Mrs Brown stepped from the curb into his path. Man Sought Here Is in Montreal Jail
