Stratford Man Is Struck By Machine
Stratford man Olmstead, 36 Cornwall Street, stepping from Park agenus at Austin street, was struck by an automatic driven by Edward D. Flowe of 325 Center street. Olmstead suffered leg injuries. A white way illuminating pole at Main and Vannonu streets was knocked down last night when hit by an automobile operated by Abraham Hobity of 878 Maple Street.

Mother Spanks Daughter Saves Life from Flames
Myra Steva Fekety of 79 Velvet street saved her four year old daughter Helen from a fire after clothes ignited from a bonfire. Helen ran toward home screaming as flames spread and Mrs Fekety smothered the fire, suffering burns to her hands. Helen received second degree burns on her back and sides and was treated at the Emergency hospital. her condition is not serious.
