Copter Transports Man Stricken on Tugboat
A 29 year old New York man named Harold Glison from Queens fell ill aboard a tugboat in Long Island Sound. A Coast Guard helicopter evacuated him to St. Vincent's hospital in Bridgeport around 6 30 p m. He was treated for a severe asthma attack and released a few hours later. The helicopter landed at Sikorsky Aircraft grounds on South Avenue. Ambulance driver Frank J Patitte and Dr Michael Gym assisted with oxygen en route.

Eight year old polio survivor saves sister from lake
In Lake Hopatcong New Jersey eight year old Suzanne Chane who recovered from polio learned to swim during post case therapy plunged into six feet of water and rescued four year old Barbara when the younger girl fell from a rowboat. Their mother and a friend pulled them back to the boat as bystanders tossed a life preserver. Barbara praised Suzy saying no one else could save her.
