Authorities order athlete to quit country

In Los Angeles on September 30 1930 authorities ordered Norwegian pole vaulter Charles Hoff to leave the United States by October 16 at the end of his temporary stay. Hoff had filed suit against the Amateur Athletic Union for 100000 claiming failure to pay his expenses and alleging breach of contract.
